About DanTaet

Water damage is not only a completely unnecessary waste of water, but it also costs society huge sums to repair. It did so in 1986, when the first installation, which was to safeguard against leaks and pipe bursts in the water and heating system of H.C. Andersens Hus in Odense, saw the light of day at the electronics company DanTaet. At the time, the annual cost to society of repairing water damage in both public and private buildings was in the millions. Today we are talking billions as a result of the over 100,000 cases of water damage or water wastage that both older and new buildings and properties suffer each year.

DanTaet therefore has a desire and a goal to reduce the number of water damages. This will be a huge win for both the environment and the economy.

History

35 years of experience in leak protection

How it started

In 1985, two elephants died at Odense Zoo when the district heating pipes in the elephant house burst. Following the tragedy, DanTaet was born from an idea by Erik Nielsen. Today, Odense Zoo has DanTaet leak protection devices built into its heating supply to avoid similar accidents.

Cornerstones

DanTaet is currently delivering 7th generation products. These products are the result of more than 30 years of development in close cooperation with the Danish Technological Institute, Kamstrup and, not least, our customers.

The first steps

The first system, which was to safeguard against leaks and pipe bursts in the water and heating system of H.C. Andersens Hus in Odense, was installed in 1986.

Steady growth

DanTaet A/S has been named a gacelle company four times (1999, 2013, 2022 and 2023). Since 1987, DanTaet has supplied over 20,000 leak protection systems to both commercial and residential customers.

DanTaet A/S is also rated at the highest possible level of creditworthiness.

We are a creditworthy company based on Bisnode's credit rating system. The rating is based on a number of different decision rules. The information is updated daily via Bisnode's database. The credit rating of the company is therefore always up to date.

Development from idea to product is done at our office in Odense.

Production

Danish production

We have a complete production line with Pick-and-Place, Vapor Phase and rework. We produce all DanTaet products locally in Odense.

Test

Full test of product

All DanTaet products are assembled and tested in their final configuration locally at our factory in Odense before the products are shipped to the customer. This is how we ensure a consistently high level.
